WAEE is proud to showcase the partners that support the 2011 WAEE Fall Conference
To get almost anything done these days you have to have money. A sad thing to say but the truth. Fortunately for the environmental education field in the state of WI we have an organization working tirelessly to ensure that there will be money available for programs and advancement in the field for future generations. The WI Environmental Education Foundation “develops private and public funding for environmental education opportunities that promote environmental stewardship, economic vitality and healthy communities”. Their goal is to financially support the Plan for Advancing EE in WI and make even more funds available for the WI EE Board grants program.
The WEEF is currently partnering with the Wisconsin Environmental Education Board, the WI Women Forward for Environmental Education and the State Employees Combined Campaign. The WI Women Forward for Environmental Education is a group of women of distinction that “envision a healthy and diverse society, built on thriving cities and farms, good jobs, and the living legacy of natural beauty and abundance in our forests, prairies, lakes and rivers”. Partnerships are a great way to advance this cause and they are always seeking new organizations and companies to partner with. Read about how to partner with WEEF here.
One of the big projects that WEEF is currently playing a role in supporting is the WI No Child Left Inside Coalition. “Coalition member groups, organizations, and individuals share the belief that all people, in particular young people, need the opportunity to connect with nature in order to learn and grow into healthy, responsible, and engaged community citizens.”
WEEF supports the WAEE Fall Conference almost every year and we would love to see our members and participants show that same kind of support back to the foundation. Please visit their Contribute page and learn all the ways you can give back and help this incredible cause.
