Organizational members offering summer fun for Wisconsin Youth

Summer is right around the corner and for a lot of parents that means kids at home. But summer does not have to be filled with challenges to keep the kids entertained. Wisconsin is filled with amazing places offering a wide range of camp and class options for kids of all ages. WAEE’s organizational members have a ton to offer.

1000 Islands Environmental Center – Check out their “Passport to Nature” and “Eaglet Adventures” programs. They have some amazing programs to see their nesting eagles as well. Programs for all ages!

Aldo Leopold Nature Center, Monona – ALNC offers more than 100 different summer camp sessions for kids ages 2 – 16. Topics for everyone; adventurous and active, bugs, pond, astronomy, weird science and much more!

Central Wisconsin Environmental Station, Amherst Junction – Week long summer camp programs for kids ages 7 – 18. Campers get to try out hiking, tree climbing, canoeing, backpacking, kayaking, archery, survival skills and much more!

Ellwood H. May Environmental Park, Sheboygan – A wide variety of summer camp programs that teach kids about “the natural world, other people and themselves”. Programs for kids ages 4 – 15.

Kickapoo Valley Reserve, La Farge – Wilderness adventure camps, art camps and lots of learning about all the treasures that the reserve has to offer. Camp programs for kids ages 3 – 14.

Marsh Haven Nature Center, Waupun – Check out their EARTHcamp programs for kids 7 – 12. Lots of different themes and great activities that teach about the Earth through art, drama, music, games and fun.

Pringle Nature Center, Bristol – There are crafts, nature themed stories, outdoor exploring and more for kids ages 4 – 12. Be sure to check out their Junior Naturalist program!

Riveredge Nature Center, Saukville – “Nature Journeys” camp programs for kids ages 3 – 18 plus options for families as well. Their camp programs are designed to “connect people with the natural world in a deep and meaningful way by building on skills and awareness from one camp to the next”.

Urban Ecology Center, Milwaukee –  A wide range of camps dealing with art, outdoor play, adventures and more. Many camps are already closed so check them out soon!

Wehr Nature Center, Milwaukee – Nature themed day camp offerings for children, teens and families. Be sure to check out the survival programs for 12 year olds!

With so many options around the state your kids will never be bored this summer! But jump on those registrations because camps that aren’t already full will be filling up fast.
